A new dark patch on a slope or a piece of roofing by the driveway is easy to notice. What you cannot see from there is whether the nearby shingles are still sealed and securely fastened. That is the part our roofers check during a free inspection.
The repair follows what has failed. A few torn shingles on a workable roof can stay a small job; cracking that continues across the slope changes the amount of roof involved. You do not have to make that distinction from the yard.

Granules protect the asphalt below them. Some loose granules in a gutter can be ordinary shedding; an exposed patch on the shingle means the surface itself needs a closer look. Our roofers check the covering for wear and impact damage and look at how the neighboring shingles are holding.
The same goes for a lifted edge. A shingle with an open seal and no other damage is a different repair question from one that has torn or creased. The actual product instructions and material condition decide what can be put right.

What the inspection follows
A missing shingle exposes the course beneath it. Our roofers locate the gap and check whether nearby fasteners and seals have also let go.
If the change followed a storm, the date is useful context. The inspection still checks the roof rather than assigning every mark to that day.
If you have also seen water indoors, tell us the room. The roofer follows that water path as well as the visible damage outside.
